Technical Support Engineer - UNIX
Dulles, VA
SER Solutions is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer WITH UNIX EXPERIENCE to join our Customer Support group. Essential responsibilities of the position include:
- Providing technical phone support to customers
- Assessing and bringing issues to resolution
- Providing status updates using CRM software
- Some travel to customer sites required
In addition to a technical college degree, the successful candidate must have minimum of one or two years experience in troubleshooting or customer service and will also have a working knowledge of PC hardware, software and operating systems. UNIX EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Familiarity with programming or database design is a plus. Experience with Visual Basic and/or script creation desirable. Strong verbal and written communications skills required.
